Terobosan tersebut diprediksi akan memanjangkan umur koran yang sejak lama diprediksi bakal tergusur kepraktisan serta kecepatan media online.

Penerbit salah satu koran terbesar di Jepang dan biro iklan tersebut, berhasil menciptakan perangkat lunak smartphone yang diklaim bisa menterjemahkan isi artikel koran menjadi lebih menarik bagi anak-anak. Caranya, sangat mudah. Jika biasanya kita membaca koran dengan mata telanjang, maka untuk anak-anak harus lewat smartphone berkamera yang sudah terpasang perangkat lunak tadi.

Begitu kamera disorotkan ke teks artikel atau berita yang ada di koran, maka yang muncul bukan hanya teks saja. Perangkat lunak tersebut menterjemahkan sendiri menjadi tampilan kartun. Tokoh inilah yang nantinya akan membacakan isi teks.

Dalam tayangan video yang didapat laman berita upi, Jumat (8/2), terlihat tokoh kartun anak perempuan bergantungan di antara teks yang dibacanya. Video promosi yang dibuat Dentsu menyebut aplikasi ciptaannya telah menciptakan masa depan baru bagi koran yang sudah uzur. "Koran dibuat bukan untuk anak-anak. Jika koran bisa dibaca anak-anak maka akan memberikan kontribusi besar bagi komunikasi keluarga dan pendidikan anak," bunyi promosi tersebut.

Pakar komunikasi Inggris, Paul Bradshaw menyebut temuan tersebut merupakan sesuatu yang telah ditunggu sejak lama oleh dunia persuratkabaran. Aplikasi ini berhasil menyajikan hal yang berbeda tergantung siapa penggunannya. "Ini berarti satu konten dengan dua manfaat (untuk dewasa dan anak-anak). Aplikasi ini berhasil mengatasi kesenjangan besar diantara kedua golongan pembaca itu," kata Paul. Belum jelas kapan aplikasi tersebut akan mulai dipasarkan.

RIM mengeluarkan produk blackberry terbarunya. Namanya Blackberry Z10. Blackberry Z10 diklaim sebagai ponsel pertama yang menggunakan OS ini. 

Desain ponsel BB 10 pertama ini cukup mengesankan. Berbeda dengan varian ponsel Blackberry sebelumnya. Jika sebelum-sebelumnya RIM lebih suka dengan desain qwerty, maka saat ini sudah merambah ke desain dengan full touchscreen den gan lebar layar 4.2 inci. Untuk kameranya memiliki resolusi 768 x 1280 piksel. Cukup bersaing jika dilihat dari spek layar yang dimilikinya.

Seperti dikutip dari mayakatech, ponsel ini  mengadopsi prosesor asal Amerika Serikat, TI OMAP 4470, Dual-core yang memiliki kecepatan hingga 1.5GHz. Dukungan RAM sebesar 2GB juga sangat membantu kinerja ponsel ini. Untuk urusan interface, ponsel ini menggunakan OS Blackberry 10 yang terbaru dari RIM.

BlackBerry 10 Catatkan Rekor Penjualan Baru

Penjualan perdana perangkat smartphone baru berbasis sistem operasi BlackBerry 10 disebut telah berhasil mencatatkan rekor baru dalam sejarah perusahaan tersebut. Untuk penjualan minggu pertama tersebut, BlackBerry mengatakan bahwa catatan penjualan Z10 berhasil mencapai tingkat yang sangat tinggi, hampir mencapai 3 kali lipat penjualan tersukses perangkat BlackBerry sebelumnya.

Sayangnya, BlackBerry sama sekali tidak memberikan angka resmi penjualan yang dicatat sebagai rekor baru tersebut. Produsen komputer Acer kini mulai melebar sayapnya dengan merambah ke pasar smartphone. Perusahaan asal Taiwan ini baru saja mengenalkan smartphone teranyar yakni Acer Liquid E1. Seperti apa?

Diwartakan Engadget, Acer Liquid E1 merupakan perangkat smartphone yang menyasar ke segmen mid-range. Disebutkan, smartphone ini didukungprosesor dual-core 1GHz, 1GB RAM, kapasitas penyimpanan internal 4GB dan slot kartu microSD sebagai media penyimpanan eksternal.

Acer Liquid E1 memiliki layar sentuh berukuran 4,5 inci dengan resolusi qHD (960 x 540p) dan berjalan menggunakan sistem operasi Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

Smartphone ini juga dilengkapi kamera auto-focus 5 megapiksel dengan LED flash di bagian belakang. Sementara di depan ada satu kamera video-chat beresolusi 0,3 megapiksel.

Acer Liquid E1 memiliki dimensi 132 x 68,5 x 9,9 mm dengan berat 130 gram, dan baterainya berkapasitas 1.760 mAh yang diklaim mampu memiliki daya 8 jam waktu bicara dan 400 jam standby.

Namun pihak Acer belum mau menyebutkan berapa harganya dan kapan smartphone ini bakal tersedia di pasaran.

Cyxymu dikenal sebagai blogger yang sering menyuarakan kritikan kepada Rusia akibat tindakan negara itu kepada Georgia. Mikko Hypponen, Chif Research Officer dari F-Secure mengatakan, “Meskipun serangan ini menargetkan satu orang secara spesifik, tetapi berdampak kepada komunitas yang lebih besar. Kami mungkin tidak akan tahu kejadian apa yang terjadi di belakang serangan Cyxymu. Namu mereka mempunyai akses penuh ke blog tersebut.”

Menurut lab F-Secure, selama ini proses hack di Facebook atau website pertemanan lainnya lebih banyak ditemukan akibat pengguna menggunakan password yang sama dengan account email mereka. Hal ini artinya, hacker bisa mendapatkan data penting dengan mudah. Bahkan, jawaban untuk security option yang ada di setiap website, blog, atau email pengguna bisa ditemukan. Kadang jawaban yang bersifat personal, seperti nama tengah, alamat rumah, dan nama hewan peliharaan bisa ditemukan dengan mudah dalam Facebook.

Akibat kejadian-kejadian ini F-Secure memberikan sedikit tips dalam menggunakan website pertemanan. Pentingnya Karyawan Memulai Bisnis Sampingan

Tiba-tiba dan mengejutkan manajemen kantor kami yang ada di Jakarta (kami berada di Cab. Semarang) memberikan surat tertutup ke dua (2) rekan kerja bahwa saya mengajukan untuk suatu aplikasi itu adalah pensiun dini, yang menyiratkan diberhentikan ringan. IOS 5 Jailbreak - Still Worth It?
